The fire was completely brought under control
According to the Chief Medical Superintendent of Jhansi, 54 children were admitted in the NICU ward. Suddenly the oxygen concentrator caught fire. Due to this the fire spread in the NICU ward filled with oxygen. DIG of Jhansi division says that the fire has been completely controlled. Those who have been injured have been shifted. CM Yogi has taken cognizance of the incident and has ordered to submit the report within 12 hours.
The real reason behind this
An eyewitness told that a person named Bhagwan Das, a resident of Hamirpur, was present here. His son's son was admitted in medical college. Initial investigation revealed that short circuit could be the cause of the fire. But Bhagwan Das is the only eyewitness to this incident. They are telling the real reason behind this.
The fire extinguisher cylinder had expired
Bhagwan Das says that the nurse lit a matchstick to fix the pipe of the oxygen cylinder in the children's ward. As soon as the match was lit the entire ward caught fire. As soon as the fire broke out, Bhagwan Das saved 3 to 4 children by wrapping them with the cloth around his neck. With the help of others, some more children were saved. The surprising thing is that the fire extinguishing cylinder had expired. Neither did the fire alarm go off. The filling date of 2019 is written on the fire extinguisher cylinder. It expired in 2020. This means that the hospital administration was completely careless. He did not even check the fire extinguishers whether they were working or not.
