Japan's Princess Yuriko dies at the age of 101, had to endure America's torture in World War II

Tokyo: Princess Yuriko of Japan passes away. Yuriko died due to health issues. He breathed his last at the age of 101. She was the wife of the brother of Hirohito, who was Emperor of Japan during World War II, and the oldest member of the imperial family. Information about his death was given by the palace officials.

The Imperial Household Agency said Yuriko died Friday in a Tokyo hospital. The agency did not reveal the cause of the princess's death, but Japanese media reported that Yuriko died of pneumonia. Yuriko was born in 1923 into an aristocratic family.

How was the life of the princess?

At the age of 18, she was married to Prince Mikasa, Hirohito's younger brother. Prince Mikasa is the uncle of Japan's current Emperor Naruhito. Yuriko and Prince Mikasa were married just a few months before the start of World War II.

The house was burnt in the American attack

Mikasa and Yuriko's home was burned to the ground during the American bombing of Tokyo in the final months of World War II. After which she stayed in a shelter home with her husband and daughter. Yuriko had five children. Before the princess, her husband and three children had passed away.
