Tilak Varma, Sanju Samson, and Suryakumar Yadav sent special messages to Rohit Sharma after he became the father of a baby boy. On Friday, November 15, Rohit and his wife, Ritika Sajdeh, were blessed with their second child. Rohit and Ritika, who welcomed their daughter Samaira in 2018, announced the news on Saturday.
Rohit is currently in Mumbai with his wife, and there is no update on his availability for the first Test between India and Australia, which starts on November 22 in Perth.
“I am really happy for Rohit bhai. We were waiting for this moment, and I am coming soon,’ Tilak said in a video uploaded by the BCCI.
His Mumbai Indians teammate Suryakumar Yadav also congratulated Rohit. “We have to be ready with the small pads, side arm, bat as another cricketer has arrived,” Suryakumar Yadav said.“Very very happy for Chetta (elder brother) and his family. Super Happy,” Samson said
Samson scored two hundreds in the four-match series against South Africa, while Tilak also scripted the same record. Varma smashed two back-to-back centuries in the third and fourth contests. He shared a partnership of 210 runs for the second wicket with Samson. India won the competition by 135 runs after restricting the Proteas to 148.
Tilak won the Player of the Match and Player of the Series awards.
