Ingredients for Tawa Idli
Idli- 8-10
Onion finely chopped – 1/2 cup
Tomato chopped – 1/2 cup
Garlic paste – 1/2 tsp
Turmeric – 1/4 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1/2 tsp
Garam Masala – 1/2 tsp
Butter – 1 tbsp
Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon
Green coriander leaves chopped – 2 tbsp
Pav Bhaji Masala – 1/2 tsp
Salt – as per taste
How to make Tawa Idli
Tawa Idli can be made for breakfast or as a day snack. To make this, first take idlis and cut them into big pieces. After this, finely chop onion and coriander leaves and prepare garlic paste. Now take a nonstick pan and add 1 tablespoon butter in it and heat it on medium flame. – After the butter melts, add finely chopped onion and fry while stirring.
When the onion becomes transparent, add finely chopped tomatoes to it and cook. Tomatoes will become soft in one to two minutes, after this add turmeric, red chilli powder, pav bhaji masala and garam masala in the pan, mix well and fry. – After some time, add one or two spoons of water and salt as per taste and mix. Cook the mixture for one more minute.
Now add lemon juice and green coriander to this mixture, mix well and after cooking for some time, add idli pieces to it. Now mix the idli with the spices well with the help of a spoon. – After frying the idli while stirring for 1 to 2 minutes, turn off the gas. Now take out the tawa idli in a plate. Garnish it with green coriander leaves and serve tasty tawa idli.
