Delhi and Thalaivas shine in double-header thrillers

The Noida Indoor Stadium witnessed thrilling double-header action on Saturday in the Pro Kabaddi League Season 11.

Fans were treated to two spectacular performances as Dabang Delhi K.C. cruised to a 35-25 victory over the Bengaluru Bulls, while Tamil Thalaivas crushed Bengal Warriorz 46-31, showcasing defensive mastery and attacking flair.

Ashu Malik Leads Dabang Delhi K.C. to a Big Win

Dabang Delhi K.C., led by the electrifying Ashu Malik, powered past Bengaluru Bulls to climb into the top five in the standings. Malik delivered yet another sensational performance, notching his 10th Super 10 of the season with 14 points.

Alongside him, Yogesh shone with a Hi-5, anchoring Delhi’s defence as they secured a vital 10-point win.

The match began at a frenetic pace with Ashu Malik quickly getting into the action, while Bengaluru Bulls’ Jai Bhagwan responded with a sharp two-point raid.

Despite a spirited three-point raid from Pardeep Narwal and a Super Tackle by Nitin Rawal, the Bulls struggled to match Delhi’s intensity. Malik and his defenders, Yogesh and Sandeep, kept the Bulls at bay, taking an 18-13 lead at halftime.

The second half saw the Bulls attempting a fightback with Nitin Rawal and Akshit keeping the game alive.

However, a spectacular three-point Super Raid by Malik widened the gap, and an ALL OUT inflicted in the final moments sealed the game for Delhi.

Pardeep Narwal, with five points, and Nitin Rawal, with seven, were the Bulls’ top contributors, but it wasn’t enough to stop a commanding Dabang Delhi K.C.

Tamil Thalaivas Decimate Bengal Warriorz in a Stunning Display

In the second match, Tamil Thalaivas delivered a clinical performance against Bengal Warriorz, handing them a resounding 46-31 defeat.

With High 5s from Moein Shafaghi, Amir Hossein Bastami, and Nitesh Kumar, coupled with Vishal Chahal’s Super 10, the Thalaivas dominated both ends of the mat.

The game began with both teams displaying defensive prowess, but a Super Raid by Vishwas S gave the Bengal Warriorz an early edge. The momentum shifted when Vishal Chahal executed a three-point Super Raid, triggering an ALL OUT for the Warriorz.

Despite Bengal’s efforts to stay in the contest, they trailed 18-16 at halftime.

The second half belonged entirely to the Thalaivas. Nitesh Kumar and Moein Shafaghi were impenetrable in defence, with Moein registering back-to-back Super Tackles.

Chahal continued to torment Bengal’s defence, reaching his Super 10, while Narender Kandola achieved the milestone of 500 PKL raid points.

Bengal Warriorz had few bright spots, with Nitin Kumar and Vishwas S delivering key raids, but their efforts were overshadowed by Tamil Thalaivas’ dominance. With a total of 16 successful tackles, the Thalaivas extended their lead to 15 points, leaving the Warriorz with no chance of recovery.
