Ravi Shastri selects his India XI for the first Test in Perth: The Indian cricket team has to play the first test against Australia in Perth from 22nd November. Till now team captain Rohit Sharma has not reached Australia. There are many challenges for India from starting the innings to making the playing eleven for this first Test. Former Indian coach Ravi Shastri has expressed his opinion regarding this issue. Shastri has selected the playing eleven for the first test without Rohit Sharma. This playing eleven has everything from solving the problem of opening to strengthening the bowling. Let us know what kind of eleven Shastri has chosen.

These batsmen were selected on top-6

Even though Shubman Gill has not opened during this period, Shastri has selected him as the opener in his playing eleven. He will be accompanied by Yashasvi Jaiswal and both these young batsmen will open. KL Rahul, who is struggling for form, has been placed at number three, while Virat Kohli has been given his preferred position of number four in the Test.

Wicketkeeper batsman Rishabh Pant is at number five as usual, while Dhruv Jurail, who is showing good form, has been placed at number six. The team has six pure batsmen in Shastri's playing eleven.

Two all-rounders got place

Shastri has included two all-rounders in his playing eleven. However, he is confused between Ravindra Jadeja and Washington Sundar. According to him, either of them can be included in the playing eleven. As the second all-rounder, he has chosen Nitish Reddy who can also bowl fast along with batting.

Three fast bowlers have been included in Shastri's playing eleven. Jasprit Bumrah will lead the bowling attack and Akash Deep and Mohammed Siraj will be there to support him.
