SAI announces selection trials for Asian Senior Women’s Handball Championship
The Sports Authority of India (SAI) has announced the dates for the selection trials of the Indian team for the 20th Asian Senior Women’s Handball Championship, scheduled to take place in New Delhi from December 3 to 10.
The trials will be held at the SAI Gandhinagar centre on November 21 and 22.
To be eligible for the trials, players must have previously competed in senior or junior international or national championships.
The trials will serve as a key step for players aiming to qualify for the prestigious Asian tournament, which will also offer the top four teams spots in the 27th IHF Women’s Handball World Championship, scheduled for next year in Germany and the Netherlands.
Players attending the trials will need to cover their own travel and accommodation expenses and are required to report in proper sports attire.
The trials will be video recorded, and the selection committee’s decisions will be final.
