Samsung may launch Galaxy S25 series in January 2025, what to expect?
Delhi Delhi. According to reports, Samsung is going to launch the latest Samsung flagship Galaxy S-series smartphone in January next year. As GSMArena reports, the next Galaxy Unpacked event to be held on January 22 or 23 will be the platform for the launch of the Samsung Galaxy S25 series. A regular Galaxy S25, a Plus and an Ultra model will probably be part of the series. According to reports, Samsung is working on a sleeker iPhone 17 model for the coming year, and may also introduce a Galaxy S25 slim model further to keep up with Apple. The Galaxy S25 series is expected to have slight design changes, such as a display with slimmer bezels and adjustments to the camera module. The Galaxy S25 and S25 Plus models are expected to have rounded corners, and the Galaxy S25 Ultra may come with a more boxy design.
The latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset is expected to power the Galaxy S25 Ultra, and according to reports, the Plus and standard models may also be powered by the same chip. Typically, the Standard and Plus models feature Samsung's own Exynos chips; Change is expected this year. Regarding the next-generation Exynos 2500 chips, due to low yields from Samsung's semiconductor division, there may be a shortage of units for the launch of the Samsung S25 series, which could be the main reason behind equipping all the models with Qualcomm chips. While the base model may not see significant changes to the camera hardware, the Galaxy S25 Ultra may get an upgrade to a 50 MP ultra-wide-angle camera which is a notable improvement compared to the current 12 MP sensor. The 200 MP main sensor and telephoto cameras may remain unchanged from the Galaxy S24 Ultra. The SmartPrix report suggests that a fourth variant of the Galaxy S25 series had appeared in GSMA's IMEI database, which is likely a slimmer version. There are not enough details available about the Galaxy S25 Slim. However, Samsung may make some adjustments to get a slimmer design.
