MP Weather Today: Cold in Madhya Pradesh, Pachmarhi shivered at 7°C, Betul also remained cold, know the condition of other cities
MP Weather Today: Cold has knocked in Madhya Pradesh and the temperature is falling rapidly. The coldest night of this season was recorded in Pachmarhi, the only hill station in the state, where the temperature reached 7 degrees Celsius. The temperature in Mandla also is around 10 degrees. Light night haze and morning fog are visible in cities like Bhopal, Indore and Jabalpur. However, the day temperature in Khajuraho was recorded at more than 32 degrees. The Meteorological Department says that the effect of cold may increase further in the coming days.
Temperature dropped in these cities, fog increased
Light mist at night and fog in the morning are being seen in many districts of the state including Bhopal. The temperature of Bhopal and Jabalpur is 2.4 degrees below normal. At the same time, there is a possibility of further increase in cold in northern parts like Gwalior-Chambal. The lowest night temperature recorded in Pachmarhi was 7 degrees. It was 10.5 degrees in Mandla, 12.3 degrees in Naugaon and 12.4 degrees in Umaria. Among big cities, Jabalpur recorded the lowest day temperature at 29.6 degrees, while Bhopal recorded 30.1 degrees and Indore 30.2 degrees.
Bhopal’s AQI crosses 300
The level of pollution in Bhopal has become dangerous. The Air Quality Index (AQI) here has crossed 300, creating a situation like Delhi. The main reason is burning of garbage and stubble. Due to increasing pollution, people’s health can be at serious risk. Doctors have especially advised children and the elderly to be cautious.
