Latest News :- State Minority Welfare Officer in UP arrested for taking bribe in installments. Arish is a resident of Thana Bahedi village of Bareilly district of UP. He submitted an application to the State Minority Welfare Office in Bareilly to shift the Madrasa from Rajpura to Vasundhara village. After the file was pending for 6 months, he met Mohammad Asif, who was working as a Senior Assistant in the Minority Welfare Office, Bareilly.

Then Mohammad Asif asked for a bribe of Rs 1 lakh from Arish to complete the due process and send the file for approval. But when Arish said that he could not give such a huge amount, Mohammad Asif asked him to pay the money in installments. Arish lodged a complaint in this regard with the state's anti-bribery department.

In this, the officials of the Anti-Corruption Department decided to catch Mohammad Asif red-handed. In this case, when Mohammad Asif received Rs 18,000 as the first installment of bribe amount, the officers hiding there caught him red handed. They registered a case against Mohammad Asif and put him in jail.
