Car News Desk – Honda has introduced its fourth generation Honda Passport SUV globally. The new Honda Passport is slightly larger than its existing model. Its look has been made more straight and stronger than before. New Honda Passport SUV: Exterior
The new Passport SUV has been given a much better look than the previous model. It has been brought with a simple design, which gives it the identity of a better SUV. The front end features large and boxy headlamps, a flat clamshell hood with a wide hood scoop finished in contrasting black and a two-slat straight grille. Not only this, a wide air dam is provided above the front bumper, below which a large skid plate is provided. Talking about the side panels, it has flared fenders, plastic cladding around the wheel arches and contrasting black door handles, which give it an SUV look. The ground clearance of the new Passport is more than the previous model. It has short front overhangs, which give it better approach angles for off-road capability. It has large 31 inch tires with 18 inch alloy wheels. At the rear, it has a wrap-around windscreen, black contrasting trim above the registration plate housing and a faux silver skid plate.
New Honda Passport SUV: Interior
The interior of the new Honda Passport has been kept the same as the previous model. This 5-seater SUV gets an all-black theme for the dashboard, while the seat upholstery and door pads get contrasting shades and stitching depending on the variant. It has a 12.4-inch infotainment screen and 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster. Apart from this, features like dual-zone climate control, 360-degree camera and ADAS have been provided in it.
New Honda Passport SUV: Engine
The new Honda Passport has a 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine, which generates power of 285 hp. Its engine is connected to 10-speed automatic transmission. Honda has used this engine in its other vehicles also. It is tuned for off-road sorties in the TrailSport off-road focused variant. The new Passport SUV is targeted for the North American market. Which simply means that it will not be launched in India. Honda is preparing to launch the new Amaze sedan for the Indian market on December 4.
