Holiday in UP: There will be holiday in UP on 20th November, Election Officer issued order

Lucknow. A big news is coming for the people of UP. According to the latest report, there will be a public holiday on November 20 due to by-elections to be held in some districts of Uttar Pradesh. Guidelines have been issued by the Election Officer regarding this.

According to the news, these by-elections are being held on nine assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh, which include Sisamau, Phulpur, Ghaziabad, Majhwan, Khair, Meerapur, Katehari, Karhal, and Kundarki seats. In Kanpur, where by-election is being held on Sisamau seat, the district administration has declared the day as a public holiday.

Let us tell you that on November 20, all offices, factories and other government and private workplaces will remain closed in Kanpur. District Election Officer, Rakesh Kumar has issued this order so that the election process can run smoothly and people's participation in voting increases.

In fact, the main objective of this holiday is to maintain law and order during the elections and to ensure that voters do not face any problem in reaching the polling stations. By-elections were earlier scheduled to be held in UP on 13 November, but the State Election Commission has changed this date to 20 November.
