No person or institution in the country will be able to sell gold and silver without hallmarking.

Hallmarking is also going to be implemented on gold imported from abroad. Hallmarking system is going to be implemented from the beginning of the new year. Hallmarking will not be applicable on these logos
This will not be mandatory for jewelers who use it for their own use, apart from this, all assaying and hallmarking centers will be valid for checking the purity of bullion. This step being taken by the government is going to be very important. This will increase the confidence of people buying gold and silver.
Current rough price of gold in the country
The price of gold and silver has currently reduced. Today the price of 24k gold with 999 purity remains at Rs 73739 per ten grams. While the price of 22k gold is running at Rs 67545 per ten grams.
