Mumbai In an interview, Bollywood actor Vikrant Massey, while referring to his secular family, said that all religions are respected in his family. The actor said that his family has full faith and reverence for every religion, and this is part of the diversity of the family.
Vikrant told that his mother is Sikh, but she used to wear bindi and used to stand with us on the day of Karva Chauth. He said, all religions are respected in our family and it is very normal for us. Since childhood, we used to go to temples and participate in Mata Rani's pandals. The actor told that despite his father being a Christian, he goes to Vaishno Mata temple and also goes to church twice a week. He said, this is India. There is also a temple in our house, and my son's name is Vardaan. It is a part of our Indian culture and unity. Vikrant also mentioned his brother Moin, who converted to Islam at the age of 17. Still, there is no religious wall in Vikrant's family. Both he and his brother celebrate every festival together. Vikrant said, my brother does Lakshmi puja on Diwali, and we all celebrate Diwali and Holi together. On the day of Eid, we celebrate Eid by eating biryani at their house.
Due to this secularism and unity of Vikrant's family, he also faced trolling on social media, especially when he shared a picture with his wife Sheetal Thakur on Karva Chauth.
