Prime Minister Modi expressed his gratitude to the people of Brazil for their warm and lively welcome. “I was deeply impressed by the warm and vibrant welcome received by the Indian community upon my arrival in Rio de Janeiro. Their energy reflects the warmth that connects us across all continents,” he wrote on Twitter.
At the summit, Prime Minister Modi said he was looking forward to meeting various world leaders at the summit. “I have landed in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil to attend the G-20 Summit. I look forward to deliberations at the Summit and productive interactions with various world leaders,” the Prime Minister said in an ex-post message. He also shared pictures of his welcome at the airport.

Prime Minister Modi's visit to Brazil
In Brazil, he will attend the 19th G20 Summit as a member of the Troika. India is part of the G20 troika along with Brazil and South Africa. Along with Modi, Chinese President Xi Jinping and his US counterpart Joe Biden will be among the leaders attending the Rio de Janeiro summit on November 18-19.
On the third and final leg of his visit, Modi will visit Guyana from November 19 to 21 at the invitation of President Mohammed Irfan Ali. This will be the first visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Guyana in more than 50 years.
