Gandhinagar: Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel has adopted an ease of transportation approach to provide roads with required width of carriageway to accommodate the increasing traffic resulting from the ever-increasing development in the state.
In this context, the Chief Minister has directed the Road Construction Department to widen such roads and provide higher level of service to make the heavy traffic roads in the State easier, safer and faster.
For this, he has approved Rs 1646.44 crore for four-laning of 203.41 km length of 21 roads. Not only this, 15 roads 221.45 km long and 10 meters wide will be built at a cost of Rs. crores. 580.16 crore and 25 roads of 388.89 km length and 7 meter wide at Rs. Rs 768.72 crore has been approved.
A total of 813.75 km length of 61 roads across the state will be provided with 7 meter, 10 meter widening and four lane work at a cost of Rs. Approval of Rs 2995.32 crore has been given by the Chief Minister.
This decision of Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel will promote the safety and well-being of the people along with ease of transportation and will also give impetus to the development journey of the state.
