Pushpa 2 trailer launch in Patna: Fans break barricades, throw shoes and slippers
New Delhi: In a shocking turn of events, chaos erupted during the trailer launch of Pushpa 2: The Rule. The much-awaited event took place at the historic Gandhi Maidan in the city on Sunday (November 17, 2024). A massive crowd gathered at the venue in hopes of catching a glimpse of Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna.
According to PTI, a section of the crowd attempted to get closer to the renowned actors. They became aggressive when they were prevented from doing so. Some even crossed barricades, throwing shoes and slippers.
Rajeev Mishra, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) in Patna, was quoted as saying by the news agency that the police did not resort to lathi charges to control the situation. Instead, those who attempted to cross the barricades were escorted away.

This marked Allu Arjun’s first visit to Bihar. Addressing his admirers, the 42-year-old actor expressed his gratitude for the love and warm welcome he received. Tweaking his iconic dialogue from the film, he said that ‘Pushpa’ will never bow down in front of anyone, but for the first time, he would bow down only for their love.
Pushpa 2: The Rule release date
The Sukumar directorial is set to hit the silver screen on December 5, 2024. The action drama also features Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Dhananjaya, Rao Ramesh, Sunil and Anasuya Bharadwaj in pivotal roles. It is touted to be one of the most expensive films ever made in India. However, there are no confirmed figures for its budget yet. Pushpa 2: The Rule is the sequel to the 2021 film Pushpa: The Rise.
