The event, held on Sunday at Hong Kong Airport’s newest runway, saw 12,000 runners competing alongside active planes taking off and landing, as reported by the South China Morning Post.
Reflecting on his experience, Chow expressed excitement about the setting. “It’s fun to watch the planes take off and land,” he told Dimsum Daily.

Chow also remarked on the opportunity, noting the 20-year gap since a similar long-distance race had taken place at the airport. “If there’s a third event, I’ll be in my nineties,” he joked.
Despite heavy rain early in the morning, Chow briefly considered skipping the race. However, as conditions improved, he decided to run and described the experience as smooth and enjoyable. He appreciated the relatively uncrowded course and was pleased with his performance. “I’m very satisfied with my time; it felt like a leisurely drive, slow and comfortable,” he said.
Looking ahead, the actor confirmed his participation in the upcoming Standard Chartered Half Marathon on Feb. 9, highlighting his passion for running and enthusiasm for personal challenges.

Earlier this year, Chow faced rumors of health issues when lumps were spotted on his legs during a jog. He recently clarified that these were harmless subcutaneous fat and reassured fans of his good health.
Chow, who began his career with TVB in 1974, gained fame through series like “The Bund”, “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly”, and “The Yang’s Saga”, and later starred in iconic films like “A Better Tomorrow,” “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon,” and “God of Gamblers.”
Chow, 69, also gained admiration for his philanthropic commitment to donate his $700 million fortune to charity after his passing, according to The Independent.
