Soaked urad dal 300 grams
bathua
2 green chillies
a little asafoetida
Ginger
Garlic
chilli powder
mustard oil
How to make Bathua Dal

To make Bathua dal, firstly urad dal has to be soaked for about 4 to 5 hours. Put clean bathu and soaked urad dal in the cooker. Give it a whistle and then cook on low flame. When the lentils are cooked, pour oil in a pan for tempering and add asafoetida to it.
Apart from green chillies, add red chilli powder and ginger-garlic paste in the pan. Put the cooked dal along with the bathua in the pan and let it cook. Add salt as per taste. After 10 to 15 minutes, Bathua dal will be ready and you can serve it.
