According to RCB sources, Omkar Salvi will join the team after March 2025. He will join RCB only after the domestic season ends. According to reports, IPL 2025 may start in the last week of March. Salvi has a contract with Mumbai Cricket Association till that time.

Omkar Salvi does not have much experience as a player. He played only one match for Railways in the year 2005. He took only one wicket in his career. But he is quite popular as a coach among the players. This year too, under his coaching, Mumbai is at third position in the elite group of Ranji Trophy. The team has scored 22 points in 5 matches. Salvi also has experience of IPL. He has also been the assistant bowling coach of Kolkata Knight Riders.

Omkar is brother of Avishkar Salvi
Omkar Salvi is the brother of Team India’s former fast bowler Avishkar Salvi. Avishkar Salvi played 4 ODI matches for Team India, in which he took 4 wickets. Salvi took 169 wickets in 62 first class matches. In List A, Salvi took 71 wickets in 52 matches. Avishkar has also represented Delhi Capitals in the IPL and he managed to take 7 wickets in 7 matches.
