IPL 2025: The mega auction of the Indian Premier League 2025 is to be held on 24 and 25 November. All the teams are busy preparing their plans. Now just before the auction, Royal Challengers Bangalore has taken a big decision. In fact RCB wants to come up with the best strategy to win the title in IPL 2025. In such a situation, he has appointed Omkar Salvi as the bowling coach.
Won three big titles in last 8 months
Omkar Salvi was earlier working as an assistant coach with the KKR team. He also won the IPL 2024 title with KKR. He has won Ranji Trophy, Irani Trophy and IPL titles in the last 8 months. Omkar is currently the coach of Mumbai cricket team and his tenure is ending in March 2025. After this he will join RCB for IPL 2025.

Dinesh Karthik was made batting coach
Earlier, for IPL 2025, RCB had appointed wicketkeeper batsman Dinesh Karthik as batting coach and mentor. Let us tell you that Omkar Salvi and Karthik have worked together before also. 46 year old Omkar also has a lot of coaching experience. Now it remains to be seen whether RCB's fortunes change under his coaching in the IPL 2025 season or not.
RCB has retained 3 players
RCB has retained only 3 players for IPL 2025. The team retained Virat Kohli (21 crore), Rajat Patidar (11 crore) and uncapped Yash Dayal (5 crore). RCB can use three RTMs for IPL 2025 mega auction. There is still Rs 83 crore left in his purse.
