New Delhi. Pollution in the national capital Delhi and NCR cities has crossed dangerous levels. There are many areas of Delhi which are in the Red Zone. That AQI is above or around 1000. In such areas, health advisors are advising not to go out or leave the house wearing an N95 mask. In many areas of Delhi, breathing is like smoking a cigarette. The worst situation in the national capital is at an AQI of 1023, which is equivalent to one person smoking 49 cigarettes a day.

Wearing N95 mask is mandatory
Dr. Rajat Sharma, Resident Doctor of Community Medicine at UCMS and GTB Hospital, said that pollution has increased so much that wearing N95 masks has become a necessity. Even a healthy person can become a victim of respiratory diseases. He further said that surgical or cloth masks should not be worn. In this situation N95 mask is a better solution.
At 5 pm, Ghaziabad's AQI was recorded at 603, while Vasundhara area's AQI was recorded at 1176. Gurugram's AQI was recorded at 608 and Arya Nagar area's AQI was 1023. Faridabad's AQI was 475 and Noida's AQI was 459.
Where is the highest AQI at 4.30 pm?
AQI of 1063 was recorded in Mandir Marg area in Delhi at 4.30 pm. 1023 AQI was recorded in Mundka, 1023 in Arya Nagar of Gurugram, 1003 in Jahangirpuri, 911 in Punjabi Bagh, 945 in Ihbas and 956 in Anand Vihar. AQI in New Delhi was recorded at 805. AQI is at dangerous levels in all areas of Delhi.
Fourth phase of Grape implemented in Delhi-NCR
The fourth phase of GRAP (GRAP 4 Implement) is implemented in Delhi-NCR. Many types of restrictions have been imposed under this. There is a ban on private and government construction works and mining works. Apart from this, there is a ban on entry of BS-4 diesel and BS-3 petrol vehicles in Delhi. Also, there is a ban on entry of trucks. Apart from this, classes 10th and 12th are being run online in Delhi-NCR.
