New Delhi. Delhi High Court has given relief to former BJP MP and current Indian cricket team coach Gautam Gambhir in the case of alleged fraud with home buyers. Justice Manoj Kumar Ohri of Delhi High Court stayed that order on Monday. In which the order to discharge Gautam Gambhir and others in the case of alleged fraud with home buyers was canceled by the Sessions Court. The Magistrate Court had decided to acquit Gautam Gambhir of the charges.
Delhi High Court passed an interim order and sought response from the Delhi government on Gautam Gambhir's petition. Gautam Gambhir has challenged the order of the Sessions Court, in which the Magistrate Court's decision to acquit him was canceled. Earlier on October 29, the Sessions Judge had said that the Magistrate Court's decision does not appear to be a thoughtful decision on the charges against Gautam Gambhir. In its decision, the Sessions Court had termed the decision of the Magistrate Court as inadequate mental expression. The Sessions Court had said that due to the allegations in the fraud case, the role of Gautam Gambhir should be further investigated.
The Sessions Court again sent the case to the Magistrate Court. He was also instructed to give detailed and fresh orders. Now the Delhi High Court has put a stay on this decision of the Sessions Court and has asked to issue a detailed order after the Delhi Government responds to Gautam Gambhir's petition. A case of alleged defrauding of home buyers was registered against real estate firms Rudra Buildwell Realty Pvt Ltd, HR Infracity Pvt Ltd, UM Architecture and Contractors Ltd and Gautam Gambhir. At that time, Gautam Gambhir was also the joint venture director and brand ambassador of the companies. Later he resigned from the post of director.
