India has no way…will have to go to Pakistan! PCB Chief's statement creates a dilemma
Champions Trophy 2025: Pakistan has to host the Champions Trophy 2025, but India has refused to go there. Now Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman Mohsin Naqvi said that the Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan as per the plan. He emphasized that if India has any objection then it can find a solution by talking to the PCB.
Mohsin Naqvi, while addressing the media outside Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, said, “The pride and honor of Pakistan is our priority. Champions Trophy will be held in our country only. We will not accept hybrid model. If India has any problem then it can come to us and we will find a solution. We are firm on our stand and will not go for the hybrid model. We are waiting for ICC to announce the schedule as soon as possible.
Mohsin Naqvi requested ICC
The PCB Chief has requested the ICC to keep its credibility above all else. He said, “ICC needs to take care of its credibility because it represents the cricket bodies of all the countries at the global level. The program has been rescheduled, but we have not received any cancellation notice. Mohsin Naqvi also said that sports and politics should be kept separate. These two should not interfere with each other.
India demands hybrid model
Recently BCCI had clearly said that the Indian team will not go to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy. BCCI had said not to go on Pakistan tour citing the safety of the players. After this, Pakistan's hosting was under threat. India also demanded a hybrid model to play.
