New Toyota Camry will be launched in India on 11 December
The new Toyota Camry is scheduled to be launched in India on December 11. The ninth generation Camry sedan will come with major cosmetic changes to differentiate it from the existing model. The company launched this sedan in 2019 and last updated it in 2022.
Although the overall outline of the car will be the same as the previous version, some changes will be made in it. The new generation Camry will have a new front fascia with elements like C-shaped DRLs and sleek headlamps. There will also be a black element that connects the headlights at both ends. There will be a little more dip for the roofline. Similarly, the rear end gets better appeal with new tail lamps and a new bumper.
The new Toyota Camry is similar to its previous model in terms of size, with only a few minor changes. Its length is 4915 mm, width is 1839 mm and height is 1445 mm, along with its wheelbase is 2825 mm. It will be based on the same TNGA-K platform as the existing model. This platform is also used in many Toyota and Lexus badged brand cars in the global market.
Toyota has created a different layout for its dashboard which now includes two digital screens including a 7-inch screen for the instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system. This includes a head-up display, ventilated seats, JBL sound system and more.
For the safety of passengers, the car will be equipped with Toyota Sense 3.0, which offers multiple ADAS features, such as Lane Departure Alert with Steering Assist, Radar Cruise Control with Curve Speed Reduction, Pre-collision Braking, etc.
Mechanically, the new Toyota Camry is powered by a 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine, supported by an electric motor. This motor gives an output of 222 hp. Transmission duties will be done by eCVT.
