According to the information, the person living in village Kalonda of Greater Noida had died five years ago. His 32-year-old widowed wife lived with her in-laws along with her five children. It is alleged that at around 1 am on Saturday night, the family's nephew Shahrukh, aged 28, entered the house and murdered the woman by slitting her throat with a knife. After this the accused surrendered before the police with the knife.

Prima facie investigation has revealed that the widowed woman had illicit relations with her nephew. Later the woman also had a relationship with another person in the village. At the same time, the family members of the deceased woman allege that the woman's father-in-law has land worth crores of rupees. After the death of the husband, the family members intend to take over the father-in-law's land. They are trying to persuade their father-in-law to get the land in their name, in which their daughter was a hindrance.

There was a dispute in the house 15 days ago also regarding land. The daughter had gone to her maternal home due to a dispute. She returned to her in-laws' house on Friday and on Saturday night, her nephew murdered her by slitting her throat with a knife. The woman's family members have also alleged the involvement of other people from her in-laws side in the murder.

Police said that the woman was married to a village man 17 years ago. The elder daughter is 16 years old. The woman's husband had died due to illness 5 years ago. The neighbor nephew had to visit the woman's house. After the death of her husband, the closeness between the two increased and illicit relations were formed. The 28-year-old accused is also married and has two children. Their relationship had become the talk of the town.

The accused told the police during interrogation that about two weeks ago he had seen the woman talking to someone in the village. Gradually the woman also stopped contacting the accused. The accused had also talked to the woman regarding this, due to which both of them had a fight on the phone. Meanwhile the woman went to her maternal home. The woman returned to her in-laws' house on Friday. Seeing the opportunity on Saturday, he killed her by slitting her neck with a knife. The woman's daughter and mother-in-law were awake at the time of the murder. The murder was carried out in front of him. The woman's family is terrified after the murder.
