New Delhi, 18 November (HS). The Competition Commission of India (CCI) on Monday imposed a fine of Rs 213.14 crore on social media company Meta. This fine was imposed for adopting unfair business practices in connection with the privacy policy update of WhatsApp in 2021.
In an order, the Competition Commission of India has imposed a penalty of Rs 213.14 crore on Meta for abusing its dominant position, CCI said in a statement issued to the ex-post.
