Pollution continues to wreak havoc in Delhi, AQI still crosses 500 in many areas, after schools this university started online classes

Delhi NCR Air Pollution: The air of the national capital Delhi is not getting any cleaner. Delhi's air has been continuously deteriorating for the last several days, which reached its peak on Monday. During this period, the air quality index was recorded above 1000 in some areas of the capital. The air quality remains very poor not only in Delhi but also in its surrounding areas. Due to which people are having trouble breathing. In view of increasing air pollution, the government has imposed Group-4 restrictions in Delhi.

The impact of pollution is not decreasing

After this, a ban has been imposed on the entry of trucks in the capital, as well as several pollution control measures have been taken, including suspension of construction work on public projects. Despite this, today (Tuesday) morning the Air Quality Index (AQI) was recorded above 500 in many areas of Delhi.

AQI recorded above 500

According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), on Tuesday morning, Delhi's Punjabi Bagh, Rohini, Pusa, Sonia Vihar, Shadipur, Wazirpur, Vivek Vihar, Anand Vihar, Alipore, Jahangirpuri, Bawana, Narela, Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium, Pratapganj and Nehru. AQI was recorded above 500 in many areas including the city.

Online classes will be held in Delhi University and JNU

In view of the severe air pollution and hazardous Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi-NCR, to protect the health and well-being of the university students, Delhi University and Jawaharlal Nehru University have decided to conduct classes in online mode. During this period, JNU will run classes through online medium till 22nd November.

Changes made in the timings of government offices

Due to increased air pollution in Delhi, timings of government offices have been changed. After this change, now MCD offices will open from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Whereas Delhi government office timings will be from 10:00 am to 6:30 pm. Let us tell you that in view of the pollution in Delhi, a decision has been taken to open and close the offices at different times.
