Bharat Dev Varma is survived by his wife, Moon Moon Sen, and their daughters, actors Raima Sen and Riya Sen.
Actress Moon Moon Sen’s husband Bharat Dev Varma passed away on November 19, Tuesday morning, at his Kolkata home. An ambulance from a private hospital in Dhakuria was sent to take him to the hospital due to his worsening health, but he died before reaching the hospital.
Bharat Dev Varma was a member of Tripura’s royal family. His mother, Ila Devi, was a princess of Cooch Behar and the elder sister of Gayatri Devi, the Maharani of Jaipur.
His grandmother, Indira, was the only daughter of Maharaja Sayajirao Gaikwad III of Vadodara. Bharat Dev Varma is survived by his wife, Moon Moon Sen, and their daughters, actors Raima Sen and Riya Sen.
In September, Raima shared a birthday post for her father with a couple of his old pics. The caption she wrote was, “Happy birthday to the dad who made all our dreams possible . Thank you DAD for still being the most chilled out fun loving charming pampering Dad . May your humour and laughter shine on ❤️❤️ love you to bits . #bestdadever .. the original Rockstar”.
