Maharashtra:- The cash scandal has come to light just before the elections. An FIR has been registered on the complaint of the Election Commission against BJP General Secretary Vinod Tawde for distributing money. This case has been registered at Tulinj police station in Virar. Apart from him, a case has also been registered against BJP candidate Rajan Naik.
According to Police Commissioner Madhukar Pandey, a case has been registered against BJP General Secretary Vinod Tawde and others. The Election Commission has also seized more than Rs 9 lakh in cash and some documents.
Flying recovered cash from the spot – Chief Electoral Officer
On this matter, Additional Chief Electoral Officer Maharashtra Kiran Kulkarni said that everything is under control, we will work as per the law. He told that after receiving the information in Nalasopara, the police had reached the spot. Flying vehicles of election machinery formed to follow the code of conduct also reached the spot. Flying took stock of the premises and also made some seizures
Actually, in Vasai Virar, Bahujan Vikas Aghadi had accused Vinod Tawde of distributing money. On this allegation, there was a fight between BJP and Bahujan Vikas Aghadi workers in Nalasopara, Palghar.
What did Vinod Tawde say?
On this allegation, Vinod Tawde said, “A meeting was going on in Nalasopara constituency. What are the rules including voting day and conduct? I had reached there to explain what happens in polling. The opposition felt that I was distributing money, whoever wants to get the investigation done, get it done. The Election Commission should conduct an impartial investigation on this.
