The much talked about film 'The Sabarmati Report' made on Godhra incident is being made tax-free in Chhattisgarh. Today this was announced by Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai.
Chief Minister Sai said that a film like “The Sabarmati Report” should be seen as a commendable effort to bring out the horrific “truth” of history, which a malicious attempt was always made to hide from the people of the country.
He said that history teaches lessons and becomes a catalyst for building a better future. Such films should be accessible to the society. Therefore, the government has decided to make it tax free in the state.
Apart from Chhattisgarh, this film has also been made tax-free in Madhya Pradesh.
Let us tell you that the story of 'The Sabarmati Report' is based on the train fire that took place at Godhra railway station on February 27, 2002. Vikrant Massey is seen in the role of a journalist in the film. An attempt has been made in the film to show what happened at Godhra Railway Station on that day in 2002, when the Sabarmati Express was burning in fire.
In fact, the story of that day is still like a puzzle for most people, because many things on it were never openly revealed. The Godhra train fire incident has been recorded in the pages of Indian history, the thought of which makes the heart shudder.

'The Sabarmati Report' is directed by Dheeraj Sarna. It has been produced jointly by Shobha Kapoor, Ekta R Kapoor, Amul V Mohan, Anshul Mohan. Vikrant Massey and Rashi Khanna are in lead roles in the film. Apart from these, famous TV actress Ridhi Dogra is also seen playing an important role in it.
