HMD is reportedly working on the launch of a new flip phone, which will likely be called the HMD Icon Flip 1. Ahead of the official launch, images of the alleged device have been leaked online.
An X post by @smashx_60 has revealed images of the HMD Icon Flip 1 along with its expected specifications.
The leak has revealed that the flip phone will have a 2.8-inch primary screen with a 1.7-inch external display. Cameras available on the device may include a MP fixed-focus camera. The device will have a 1,500 mAh removable battery and will be available in 48MB + 128MB storage. The feature phone will run on S30+ OS with support for cloud apps.
The processor on the device could be Unisoc T127 SoC. It supports 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0 and has a 3.5mm headphone jack.
It will be offered in three color options of Magenta, Blue, Glossy Black.
Looking at the specifications, the device seems to be a slightly updated version of the Nokia 2660 flip phone, which made its debut in 2022. However, the new flip phone will come in the typical HMD bold color scheme. The device is shown in bright pink and light blue colors in the image. It can also come in black color for those who prefer dark colors.
It's unclear when this new phone will launch or how much it will cost, but obviously considering what's on offer here, don't expect it to be expensive.
