Had to pay fine
Ram Vilas boarded the C-6 chair car when the Varanasi-New Delhi Vande Bharat Express arrived. When he tried to get down from the train after keeping his son's luggage, an announcement was made that the doors would be closed. Ram Vilas tried to seek help from the driver's cabin. But, despite his request, the train moved ahead. TC fined him for traveling without a ticket.
New advisory issued
After receiving information about this incident, railway officials issued a new advisory saying that the automatic doors of Vande Bharat train work as a security mechanism. The doors remain sealed while the train is running and operate only at specially designated stations. It has been said in the advisory that now only ticketed passengers should board Vande Bharat. People accompanying the passenger should remain on the platform. It was also mentioned in the advisory that doors equipped with sensors work exclusively under the control of the driver. The system works based on predetermined stopping points, maintaining automatic control throughout the journey. The doors close once the line is cleared.
