Tirupati laddu row TTD Today decisions list News in Hindi: The newly formed Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) held its first meeting on Monday and passed a resolution according to which non-Hindus serving on the board will have to take voluntary retirement or join other government agencies in Andhra Pradesh. You will have to choose the option of transfer among departments. It is noteworthy that TTD is an independent government trust that manages the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple in Tirupati – the richest Hindu temple in the world.
Major decisions taken by TTD include constituting a panel of experts to suggest an action plan to reduce the darshan time at Lord Venkateshwara temple of Tirumala to two-three hours, banning political statements there, providing high quality food for making laddus. This includes purchasing ghee and transferring it to non-Hindus.

During the meeting, TTD also decided to write to the state government to “take appropriate decisions regarding non-Hindus working in Tirumala” and according to officials, TTD wants non-Hindus working in the temple to be Dharma employees should be rehabilitated in other government institutions or offered VRS.
TTD also decided to abolish 'Darshan' quota of various states of AP Tourism Corporation after a thorough investigation into the complaints related to irregularities in issuing special entry tickets under this category.
Amid concerns of some board members, TTD also decided to transfer all its deposits from private banks to nationalized banks.
Moreover, TTD is likely to re-issue tender for procurement of better quality ghee for preparing prasad including the famous laddu. The development follows a controversy when the ruling TDP-led government raised doubts about the “purity” of the ingredients used in laddu 'prasadam' at the Tirumala Venkateswara temple.
