Zomato's 'order scheduling' feature
This new feature 'Order Scheduling' of Zomato frees you from the tension of planning the day of your event or party. Now you don't need to order food at the last minute. You can order your food two days in advance. Zomato is making this service available in 35,000 restaurants across 30 cities, which include major cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Pune, and Ahmedabad.
How to schedule an order?
To order food on Zomato, you first have to open the Zomato app. Then go to 'All Restaurants' section and click on 'Schedule' option. From here you can select the time and date of your choice, and then Zomato shows a list of restaurants in your area. You can book food in advance from the restaurant of your choice. You will also be told the delivery time and time of food preparation on the bill page.
Facility to cancel orders
Another good feature in this service of Zomato is that you can cancel your order up to three hours before the delivery time, so that you do not face any problem.
Is there advance order facility on Swiggy also?
If you are thinking about Swiggy, you may be disappointed to know. Swiggy introduced advance orders in 2018, but now it has been clarified on the help page of their official website that they currently do not take orders in advance.
