Himachal Bhavan: Himachal Pradesh government has received a big blow from the High Court. The High Court has issued an order to attach Himachal Bhawan located in Delhi. In fact, due to non-payment of dues of Rs 64 crore, an order has been issued to attach Himachal Bhawan near Mandi House in Delhi. With this order of the High Court, the political temperature of Himachal Pradesh has become high. BJP has started cornering the Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu government.

Seli Hydro Company got the project
Let us tell you, in the year 2009, Himachal Government had allotted 320 MW power project to Sali Hydro Company. The project was to be set up in Lahaul Spiti. The government had then entrusted the task of building roads to BRO to implement the project. According to the agreement, it was the responsibility of the government to provide basic facilities to the company, so that the company could start the project work on time. But, this could not happen. In the year 2017, the company filed a writ petition in the High Court in the matter.

Project had to be closed due to lack of facilities: Company
The company's lawyer informed the court that the project had to be closed due to lack of facilities to set up the project. It was returned to the government, but the government confiscated the upfront premium. After hearing the arguments of both the parties, the court ordered the government to pay Rs 64 crore upfront premium to the cell company.

Government will have to pay 7 percent interest
The court has also ordered the company to pay upfront premium plus 7 percent interest from the date of filing of the petition. The court asked the Principal Secretary of the Energy Department to investigate within 15 days and find out due to the default of which officers the amount was not deposited. The next hearing in the case will be on December 6. The guilty officer has been asked to personally recover the amount. This decision has been given by the court of Himachal High Court Judge Ajay Mohan Goyal. By the way, the government has filed an LPA against this decision.
