Asus ROG Phone 9 Series launched with up to 24GB RAM and powerful AI gaming feature, know everything from price to features here

Mobile News Desk – The Asus ROG Phone 9 series has finally launched, which includes the vanilla ROG Phone 9 along with the ROG Phone 9 Pro model. The new gaming phones are powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB of storage. A special edition has also been introduced, which comes with 24GB RAM and 1TB storage. Both phones have a triple camera system equipped with Sony Lytia 700 main sensor. These are rated IP68 for better build. Being gaming phones, both the smartphones come with AI-based gaming features like X Sense, AI Grabber and X Capture. Additionally, the Asus ROG Phone 9 series supports Dirac Virtuo technology, which delivers a spatial audio experience.

Asus ROG Phone 9, 9 Pro price, availability
Starting with Asus ROG Phone 9, it has been launched in two variants. In Europe, its 12GB + 256GB storage variant is priced at Euro 1,099 (approximately Rs 98,000), while the 12GB + 512GB variant is priced at Euro 1,149 (approximately Rs 1,02,600). The smartphone has been introduced in Phantom Black and Storm White color options.

The only 16GB + 512GB storage variant of Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro is priced at 1,200 Euro (approximately Rs 1,07,000). Only Phantom Black color is available in the Pro model. The Pro model is also offered in a special edition, which includes 24GB RAM with 1TB storage and is priced at 1,500 Euros (approximately Rs 1,33,900). AeroActive Cooler The company says shipments are expected in Europe in December and a launch in the US in January 2025. There is no information yet about the launch in India.

Both the Asus ROG Phone 9 series smartphone models run on Android 15-based ROG UI. It features a 6.78-inch FHD+ (1,080×2,400 pixels) AMOLED LTPO display with a 165Hz refresh rate, 2,500 nits peak brightness level, and support for HDR10. The screen gets Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. Both flagship ROG phones are powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, paired with up to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1TB of UFS4.0 storage.

Being a gaming phone, it comes with ROG GameCool 9 cooling system developed by Asus for thermal management. Both models come with a three-microphone setup, which, according to the company, is capable of delivering better noise reduction. Both are Dirac Virtuo technology and Hi-Res Audio certified for better sound experience. These include AI gaming features like X Sense, X Capture and AI Grabber. Asus ROG Phone 9 Pro Edition has AeroActive Cooler X Pro for better cooling.

Talking about the camera system, the Asus ROG Phone 9 series models come with a triple camera unit, which includes a 50-megapixel Sony Lytia 700 main sensor with f1/9 aperture, a 13-megapixel depth sensor with 120-degree field-of-view. Includes ultra wide-angle camera. The third sensor in the vanilla model is a 5-megapixel macro lens, while the Pro model gets a 32-megapixel sensor with OIS and 3x optical zoom support. On the front, both phones come with a 32-megapixel RGBW shooter.

Both Asus ROG Phone 9 models come with connectivity options like 5G, NFC, Bluetooth 5.4, NavIC, 3.5mm audio jack. These have in-display fingerprint sensors. Asus ROG Phone 9 and Phone 9 Pro come with a 5,800mAh battery, which supports 65W wired and 15W wireless charging. The company claims that the battery can be charged from 0 to 100 percent in 46 minutes. Both phones are IP68 certified. Both models of the ROG Phone 9 series measure 163.8 x 76.8 x 8.9 mm and weigh 227 grams.
