Beetroot Halwa: Beetroot Halwa is a unique combination of taste and health in winters.
500 grams beetroot (grated)
1 liter milk
200 grams sugar
50 grams ghee
25 grams almonds (chopped)
25 grams cashews (chopped)
10-12 raisins
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
1/4 tsp saffron (soaked in milk)
To make beetroot halwa, first heat desi ghee in a pan and add grated beetroot and fry on low flame for 5-7 minutes.
After this, add milk in it and mix it well and then keep the gas flame on medium and cook it while stirring continuously until the milk reduces to half.
When the milk is reduced to half, add sugar to it and mix well.
Now reduce the flame of the gas and cook while stirring continuously until the halwa becomes thick.
When the pudding becomes thick, add almonds, cashews and raisins and mix well.
Finally add cardamom powder and saffron and mix well.
Take out the halwa in a bowl and garnish with some almonds and cashews on top. Serve hot halwa.
