A few hours before the second phase of voting in Jharkhand, Maoists carried out this serious incident, set fire to 5 trucks.

Latehar: Voting is going on in Jharkhand today i.e. on 20th November for the second phase on 38 assembly seats in 12 districts. In such a situation, news of a truck being set on fire is coming out from Latehar, Jharkhand. In fact, a few hours before the second and final phase of voting in Jharkhand Assembly elections, Maoists allegedly set fire to five trucks in Latehar district.

Giving information about this, a senior police officer said that this incident took place at around 1.30 in the night in Lot One under Herhanj police station area. Let us tell you, these trucks were deployed for coal transportation in Tubeid Coal Project of Latehar.

Latehar Superintendent of Police gave information

Latehar Superintendent of Police Kumar Gaurav said, “When the trucks were returning after unloading coal, members of the banned Jharkhand Presentation Committee (JPC) set them on fire. This is a separate group of Maoists. “Investigation into the matter has been initiated and raids are being conducted to arrest the culprits.”

He said that the Maoists have left a leaflet at the spot, in which they have threatened to stop the work of filling coal in trucks and transporting it at the Tubed Coal Project until talks are held with the banned organization. According to the truck drivers, around 12 Maoists reached the forest and started firing indiscriminately.

Another officer said, “Truck drivers were asked to get down from their vehicles. “Several bullets were fired before the trucks were set on fire.” Voting is underway for 38 assembly seats in the second and final phase of Jharkhand assembly elections on Wednesday amid tight security arrangements. Earlier, the first phase of voting was held in Jharkhand on November 13, in which voting was held on 43 out of 81 assembly seats. In the second phase, voting is going on in 38 out of the remaining 81 assembly seats. Let us tell you that the counting of votes will take place on November 23 and with this the results of the elections will be revealed.
