New Delhi: Renowned bassist Mohini Dey who is known for her work with AR Rahman, announced her separation from her husband, Mark Hartsuch. Her shocking announcement just hours after the legendary composer and his wife, Saira Banu, revealed their own split.
Mohini Dey, 29, and her composer husband Mark shared the news on their Instagram, stating that their separation was mutual. “With a heavy heart, Mark and I announce that we have separated,” they wrote. “This is a mutual understanding between us. While we remain great friends, we both have decided that we want different things in life, and separation through mutual agreement was the best way to proceed.”

Even the throne of God might tremble at the weight of broken hearts. Yet, in this shattering, we seek meaning, though the pieces may not find their place again. To our friends, thank you for your kindness and for respecting our privacy as we walk through this fragile chapter.”
The estranged couple tied the knot back in 1995 and have three kids: Khatija Rahman, Raheema Rahman and A. R. Ameen.
