Pakistani TV Host Mathira Mohammad’s Private Videos Leaked, She Says ‘People Misusing My Name’

Pakistani television host and model Mathira Mohammad is the latest victim of a worrying trend of leaked private videos involving prominent Pakistani influencers. The explicit videos, which surfaced online recently, have sparked widespread controversy. This is the third such incident within a month, following similar breaches involving influencers Minahil Malik and Imsha Rehman.

Mathira Mohammad, a Pakistani-Zimbabwean model known for her appearances in films like the Indian Punjabi movie Young Malang, has been at the centre of the latest leak. Multiple private videos allegedly featuring Mathira have been circulating on social media, although their authenticity remains unverified. In response, Mathira has vehemently denied the claims, labelling the videos as “fake” and accusing individuals of misusing her photos.

Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the 32-year-old actress and host expressed her frustration, saying, “People are misusing my name and my photoshoot pictures and adding fake stuff in, please have shame! Keep me out of this trashy nonsense.” Mathira, who has a significant following with over 2.6 million Instagram followers and nearly 60,000 followers on X, has yet to provide further details about the incident.

The leak follows a series of similar breaches involving other Pakistani content creators. Earlier this month, influencer Minahil Malik became the target of an intimate video leak, which showed her in a compromising position with a man, reportedly her boyfriend. Malik faced intense backlash and reacted by posting an emotional farewell on Instagram, stating, “It was not easy for me but I’m done. It’s hard to say goodbye. No fights. Spread love. I’m leaving. I will miss you. I love you. Take care.” She has since remained silent on social media.

Imsha Rehman, another influencer, also found herself at the centre of a similar controversy when her compromising videos were shared online. Following the incident, Rehman deactivated her social media accounts, citing “overwhelming backlash” from society.

The recent spate of private video leaks has raised concerns about privacy, online security, and ethics. While the motives behind these leaks remain unclear, some members of the online community have speculated that certain influencers might be leaking their videos for publicity. However, this remains unconfirmed.

As the trend continues, the conversation surrounding the safety and privacy of content creators in Pakistan intensifies, with many calling for better protection and accountability.
