Hockey Women’s Asian Champions Trophy 2024 : The Indian Women's Hockey Team has performed brilliantly and won the title by defeating China 1-0 in the final of the Asian Champions Trophy. Indian Women's Hockey Team thus won the title for the third time. Deepika scored a goal for India in the third quarter which proved to be decisive in the end. Deepika scored a penalty corner goal in the 31st minute and gave the team the lead. The Chinese team could not score a goal within the stipulated time and had to face defeat.

The Indian team, which came as the defending champion, performed strongly throughout the tournament and was successful in retaining the title on the basis of excellent play. In the final, China gave a tough fight to India and both the teams could not score goals for the first two quarters. However, in the third quarter, Deepika was successful in hitting the goal post of Olympic silver medalist China. This was Deepika's 11th goal of this tournament.
