ICC T20 Rankings: Hardik becomes number one all-rounder, Tilak takes a huge leap, included in top three batsmen

New Delhi. After the recently played T20 series between India and South Africa, ICC has released the latest T20 Rankings on Wednesday. India's star batsman Tilak Verma has jumped 69 places to reach third position after scoring two consecutive centuries. For the first time, Tilak has managed to make it to the top-10 in the rankings of T20 batsmen. At the same time, India's star all-rounder Hardik Pandya has become the world's number one T20 all-rounder by defeating England's Liane Livingstone.

Hardik played some good innings during India's recent series in South Africa. Apart from Livingstone, Hardik left Nepal's Deependra Singh Airi behind. In this series, 31-year-old Hardik had shown amazing performance with both bat and ball. In the second match of the four-match series, Hardik played an unbeaten inning of 39 runs. At the same time, in the fourth and decisive T20 match, he took one wicket for eight runs. Thanks to this, India was successful in winning the series 3-1. This is the second time that Hardik has reached the number one ranking in the list of T20 all-rounders.

Player of the series and rising young batsman Tilak Verma benefited greatly from two consecutive centuries against South Africa. He was the highest run scorer in the series with 280 runs. He made a long jump of 69 places. He is currently India's best-ranked batsman in T20, behind first-placed Travis Head. Indian T20 captain Suryakumar Yadav has slipped one place behind him i.e. at fourth position.

Apart from this, Sanju Samson, who scored two centuries in the T20 series against South Africa, climbed 17 places to reach 22nd position in the list of T20 batsmen. Tristan Stubbs moved up three places to 23rd and Heinrich Klaasen moved up six places to 59th.
