The Philippines, with a coastline spanning over 36,000 kilometers, has been named the best diving destination at the TripZilla Excellence Awards 2024, as voted by travel enthusiasts.
Renowned for its pristine coral reefs, historic shipwrecks, and crystal-clear, warm waters, the Philippines has long been a favorite among scuba divers. In September, the country was crowned “Asia’s Leading Beach Destination” at the 2024 World Travel Awards.
Beach tourism plays a vital role in the Philippine economy, fueled by the country’s tropical climate and its unique geography of over 7,000 islands.
The awards, organized by TripZilla, a Singapore-based online travel media platform with a monthly reach of over 20 million travelers, honor outstanding contributions to the travel industry.
This year’s event was the largest to date, featuring a record-breaking number of nominees and voters, and presenting over 60 awards.
