A note from the lieutenant governor’s office states that incidents of harassment of vintage car owners are increasing, which is why the lieutenant governor has taken this action. As per this direction, the enforcement teams of the Transport Department and the Municipal Corporation of Delhi have the responsibility to ensure the safety of vintage vehicles.
New notification for old vehicles
Following a memorandum from the Heritage Motoring Club of India complaining about the seizure of old vehicles for scrapping. The lieutenant governor gave special instructions. He asked the Transport Department and the MCD to clarify that they should not seize vehicles registered as old vehicles.
