This attack took place on a passenger van in Down Kurram area of ​​Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Dozens of people, including a police officer and women, were also injured in the attack.

As soon as the passenger van passed near Ochut Kali and Manduri in Lower Kurram, the terrorists already ambushed there started firing indiscriminately at the van. The passenger van was going from Parachinar to Peshawar. According to Pakistan's news agency Dawn, Dr. Ghayor Hussain, officer of Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Alizai, has confirmed the deaths.

President Asif Ali Zardari strongly condemned the incident and expressed his condolences to the bereaved families of the deceased. The PPP said in a post on X that attacking innocent passengers was a cowardly and inhumane act. The party said that those responsible for this incident should be punished. Along with this, it has been demanded that timely medical aid should be provided to the injured.
