Prime Minister Modi leaves for Delhi, know how the first visit of the Indian Head of State to Guyana was
Guyana: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left for Delhi from Guyana after completing his visit to three countries Nigeria, Brazil and Guyana. Before leaving, PM Modi addressed Indians today. The Prime Minister had arrived in Guyana last Wednesday, which was the first visit by an Indian Head of State to this country in more than 50 years.
Please note that PM Modi started his tour with a visit to Nigeria. While in Brazil, he participated in the 19th G20 summit. On the third and final leg of his tour, the Prime Minister paid a state visit to Guyana. The Prime Minister also co-chaired the 2nd India-CARICOM Summit in Guyana.

Before leaving today, PM Modi addressed the Indians and said that here and India's culture, food and cricket deeply connect India and Guyana. Along with this, the Prime Minister appreciated the Indo-Guyanese community and their contribution to the development of the Caribbean nation.

He also saluted the spirit of the Indo-Guyanese community and said that you have fought a long battle for freedom and democracy. You have worked tirelessly to make Guyana one of the fastest growing economies. From a small beginning you have risen to the top. Calling NRIs as ambassadors of the nation, Modi said, you are truly ambassadors of Indian culture and values.
Earlier last Thursday, Prime Minister Modi had said that India has never moved forward with an “expansionist mindset” and has always stayed away from the spirit of appropriating others' resources. Addressing a special session of the Parliament of Guyana, the Prime Minister made this comment at a time when there is increasing concern in the world about China's expansionist behavior and conflicts arising from territorial disputes.

Referring to geopolitical tensions, PM Modi said that this is the time to identify and remove the situations causing conflict. Along with this, giving the mantra of 'democracy first, humanity first' for global welfare, Prime Minister Modi said that space and sea should not be subjects of universal conflict, but of “universal cooperation”.
He said, “The biggest mantra for the world to move forward is ‘democracy first, humanity first’. The spirit of democracy first of all teaches us to take everyone along and participate in everyone's development. 'Humanity First' guides our decision making. When we have the spirit of ‘Humanity First’ then the basis of our decision making, the results are also those which benefit humanity.”
Along with this, PM Modi also said in his address that this is the time for the awakening of the Global South, and the time for its members to come together to create a new global order. Referring to the more than one and a half century old cultural ties, the Prime Minister said that India-Guyana's 'soil' relations are cordial. PM Modi also said that India is a 'world brother' with the spirit of 'democracy first, humanity first'. ' He is also performing his duty as a civil servant and has been the first to extend a helping hand in times of crisis.
Along with this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a special meeting with the prominent cricket players of Guyana. PM Narendra Modi shared the photo on 'X' in this regard and wrote, “A pleasant conversation with the prominent cricket players of Guyana.” The game has brought our countries closer and deepened our cultural ties. “Earlier last Thursday, he had also met prominent cricket personalities of West Indies.
