Meghanathan passed away : Famous Malayalam actor Meghanathan passed away at the age of 60 due to complications of a lung-related disease. The actor was undergoing treatment at a private hospital in Kozhikode, where he breathed his last. The actor's last rites will be performed on Thursday at his residence in Shoranur.

Kerala General Education Minister V Sivankutty shared his condolences on his social media account on Facebook. “Acting talent that gave a new take to villain characters. Tribute to actor Meghnathan,” the post read along with a photo of the late actor.
Meghanathan, a leading personality of the Malayalam film industry, was born in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, as the third child of iconic actor Balan K Nair and Saradha Nair. He is survived by his wife Susmita and daughter Parvati. The actor began his acting career in 1983 with the Malayalam film Astram, marking the beginning of his career spanning over three decades.
