Praising Virat, the right-handed batsman said, “The number of runs he has scored in Australia speaks for itself. Not just in Australia, but across all formats, he has always been a player from whom a lot of expectations are placed. There are a lot of expectations from the number of matches he plays. Over time, we have seen what an incredible fielder and athlete he is. However, when you play so much cricket without adequate breaks, your body and concentration levels naturally reduce.”
On Virat's comeback, he said, “Now that he has got some rest, he is in a much better condition mentally and physically. In Australian conditions, if the opposition tries to trouble him, he is the kind of player who will give a befitting reply and incorporate it into his performance.”
will return with a century
“The first few Test matches will be important. It will be necessary for him to spend time at the crease to get into the rhythm. He knows his game inside out and is capable of performing well when needed. His preparation has always been the best.” “If he gets a solid start, scores 50 or 60, and converts it into a century, it could be an excellent series for him.”
