New Delhi: After India's strong rebuke, the attitude of the Canadian government has now softened. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's tone has changed. Actually, the Canadian government has today issued a statement in the case of Sikh terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. In which the allegations against PM Modi and other Indian officials have themselves been termed as baseless.

The statement said Canada has no evidence linking Prime Minister Narendra Modi, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and NSA Ajit Doval to criminal activities within Canada. The Canadian government said these were mere speculations.
